The water dam was built with pillars that has triangular structure on it to provide more support. But it was destroyed overnight by a huge flood and rocks from the hills. The aftermath was disastrous and nearly wipe out the entire population of the town. Till now, there are still visible scars that embedded deep around the town and people there.
