All of us often go down into the subway. It is our habit for long lifetime. Russians do not hide their emotions, especially in public transport. People are happy and unhappy. We do smile, upset, meditate, go deep into themselves. We are overwhelmed and ecstatic. Very hard and painful to see that and feels like indescribable joy in the same time. I have never seen it anywhere else. Russia is a country for soul.
